Elettronica Ltd. offers MANUFACTURING SERVICES based on extensive expertise acquired during more than 40 years of active presence in the defense industry. Our production includes the ESD-protected production area as well as small and medium-sized series production.
Our manufacturing guidelines are ISO 9001 / EN9100 certified. The process follows the following international guidelines:
- IPC-A 610 Acceptance Criteria for Electronic Assemblies
- IPC/WHMA-A 620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
- IPC-7711/7721 Rework, modification and repair of electronic assemblies
- IPC-J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies.


The functional capabilities include:
Production includes more than 50 different products per year, with batches of over 3,000 items and with a total of more than 350,000 items installed. The products have a complexity of 1 to 6 sub-assemblies and can contain up to 1,000 individual parts.
Our experience ranges from the design of the product to its final delivery, including after-sales support.
Electromechanical assembly
EMA modules (printed circuit boards and cable harnesses) are manufactured using our own production methods and tested using the latest measuring devices.
The EMA process includes:

PCB assembly
Elettronica offers the assembly of printed circuit boards with subsequent simulation of the functions in the dedicated areas, in accordance with international standards (IPC).
The following manufacturing technologies are part of the PCBA process:

- Automatic loading

repair and retrofitting
Post-production support is a key factor in processing and quickly resolving failure analyses.
To carry out the repair and upgrade process, Elettronica applies the following controls at each step of the production process:
- Incoming goods inspection / visual inspection
- Mechanical and electronic failure analysis
- Support from EMA and PCBA sub-areas during the repair or retrofit process
- Checking the functionality
To avoid obsolescence, a repair is always evaluated to see if an upgrade can be made to improve service to the customer.

The former naval officer has been strengthening the sales team at ELT GmbH since summer 2021. Here he brings about 25 years of experience in national and international defense technology business in various functions. Mr. Brechtefeld did his doctorate in the USA on German foreign and security policy, lives near Kiel, is married and has two sons.
